Michael R. Brown, 52, of Kokomo passed away Thursday, April 30, 2020 at St. Vincent Hospital, Kokomo. He was born June 27, 1967 in New Castle to Claude Brown and Dianna (Hedrick) Selmeyer.
He was a 1985 graduate of New Castle High School. Michael worked for Fiat Chrysler Automotive in Kokomo. He was a strong family man with a strong heart. Michael was a loving husband, his wife called him “Mr. Nice Guy.” He was a funny and fun loving father. Michael enjoyed motorcycles, reptiles, drones, hunting and fishing. He was also a member of the Ovid Masonic Lodge.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife, Maria Ana Brown of Kokomo; children, Miranda Brown (fiancé, Robert Blaine and son, Xavier) of Greenfield, Cody Brown of Kokomo; sister, Betty Haily of Tennessee, grandson, Jaydin Remy of New Castle; stepson, John Darrel T. Granada of the Philippines and lifelong friends, Shawn York of Kokomo and Gerald Rising of New Castle.
In addition to his father, he is preceded in death by his step-mother, Maxine Brown.
Services will be at 12:00pm Tuesday, May 5, 2020 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service in New Castle with Mark Herbkersman officiating and Masonic rites conducted by the Ovid Masonic Lodge. Burial will follow in Green Hills Memory Gardens. Visitation will be 11:00a.m. – 12:00 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home, but please be prepared to wait as we are only limited to 25 guests in attendance at a time.
