Michael Scott Peyton

Scott Peyton, 49, was born in Denver, Colorado at Fitzsimmons Army Hospital to Michael D. Peyton and Nancy A. (McNew) Peyton. Scott graduated from the Knightstown High School in 1987 and briefly attended Ball State University before completing undergraduate studies at Evergreen State College in Olympia, Washington. He next taught English to junior high students in Japan. He furthered his studies attaining a Master’s degree at California Institute of Technology. He followed by achieving his licensure in family counseling. Scott settled in Redwood City, California, where he was the proud father of two daughters, Ava and Amelia. Scott served as a behavioral health director within the San Francisco County juvenile and adult detention systems. Besides being an avid fan of his daughters’ sporting activities, Scott was a dedicated fan of the San Francisco Giants.

Scott is survived by his daughters, Ava and Amelia of Menlo Park, California; his parents, Michael and Nancy Peyton of Greenfield; his sister, Elizabeth (Kevin) Schmidt of Fishers, Indiana.
