Mildred Beatrice (Blankenship) Hoelscher, 83, of New Castle passed away peacefully at her home Tuesday, April 16, 2019 surrounded by loving family. She was born October 1, 1935 in West Point, MS to the late Homer and Virginia Blankenship.
Preceding her in death is her beloved brother, John Blankenship and beloved sister, Doris Ferchaud. Also preceding her in death is her loving husband, Robert E. Hoelscher, and life partner Frank J. “Buster” Hayes.
She is survived by sister, Elaine Dusenberry, and brother, Wayne (Sue) Blankenship both of Mississippi; 4 daughters, Sharon (Keith) Martin of New Castle, Rebecca (George) Lockwood of Dayton, OH, Carla (Chad) Cress of Florida, Robin (Jerry) Coffield of Ohio; 2 sons Robert (Shawn) Hoelscher of New Castle and Matt (Cindy) Hoelscher of Hamilton, OH. Fondly known as Grandma Honey Bee to 13 grandchildren, Lori, Wesley, Kristy, Cameron, Courtney, Jeremy, Jesse, Jenna, Steven, Tyler, Allyson, Lucas, Joe; 17 great grandchildren, Carter, Isabelle, Jaxson, Addison, Camden, Kendal, Milana, Summer, Madison, Abel, Ian, Jackson, Ellie, Zoey, Carter, Moises, Melinda.
Millie was deeply devoted to her faith, family and friends. She will be missed dearly by all. She was a wonderful mother and hard worker as she ran her own business, H & H Sealants in New Castle for nearly 30 years. Millie enjoyed gardening, reading, traveling and especially loved being with her family.
The family would like to thank the Henry Community Health Hospice Center for their exceptional care and support of their Mom and themselves during this difficult time.
Services will be at 12:00 p.m. Saturday, April 27, 2019 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service, 3406 S. Memorial Dr., New Castle, IN with Pastor Tyler Jackson officiating. Burial will follow in South Mound Cemetery, West Lawn Addition. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. – 12 p.m. prior to the service.
