Mildred B. Jordan

Mildred B. Jordan, 95, of Muncie and formerly of Blountsville passed away Sunday, September 19, 2021 at her residence. She was born October 3, 1925 in Johnson County, Indiana to the late George R. and Evalyn (Beard) Adams.

Mildred farmed with her husbands in Blountsville most of her life. She was a homemaker and loved to cook and bake, especially beef and noodles, chocolate chip, oatmeal raisin cookies and her rhubarb sauce. She was also an avid card player and enjoyed playing any kind of card game. During the winters from 1951-2015, Mildred enjoyed wintering in Florida. She attended Mt. Pleasant United Brethren Church for many years.

She is survived by her grandchildren, Robert Terrell of Jacksonville, Florida, Bill Jordan of Losantville, Shirley Jordan of Muncie, Timothy Jordan of Speedway and David Jordan of Muncie; great grandchildren, Dawn, April, Clint, Carrie, Amber, Zachary, Amanda, Erica, Eric and Alyssa; great great grandchildren, Emma, Kameron and Layla; a daughter in law, Dolly Haney; several nieces, nephews and loving, kind caregivers, Heidi and Paulette.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her 1st husband, Francis “Pat” Jordan; 2nd husband, A.C. Snyder; son, William Thayer Jordan; daughter, Joyce Wages; siblings, Audrey Whiteman, Connie Pennycuff, Ken, Jim, Bill and George Adams Jr.

Services will be at 12:00 p.m. Friday, September 24, 2021 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service in New Castle with Pastor Paul Baty officiating. Burial will follow at Blountsville Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service on Friday at the funeral home.
