Nancy L. Weesner

Nancy L. Weesner, 79, of New Castle passed away early Monday morning, July 12, 2021 at her residence. She was born August 12, 1941 in New Castle, Indiana, a daughter of the late George Robert and Mabel Bell (Spiggle) Parker.

Nancy was a 1959 graduate of Walter P. Chrysler High School where she was a member of the Cheer Block. She had been employed at Westwood Country Club, Heritage House of New Castle and Henry County Memorial Hospital. She was a member of the American Business Women’s Association, where she served as president for two years and was also nominated Woman of the Year. Nancy was a past member of New Lisbon Christian Church and currently a member of Mt. Summit Christian Church. She was a member of Women’s Fellowship Card Club, enjoyed cross stitch but mostly, spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Survivors include four children, Tammy L. (Dusty) Houser, Kevin (Kathy) Weesner, David (Marla) Weesner all of New Castle and Doug (Teresa) Weesner of Hagerstown; grandchildren, Dusty Ray (Mallory) Houser, Seth (Jeremy) Houser, Victoria Gilson, Korbin Weesner, Joshua Weesner (Allie Sands), Nikki (Chris) Hendrickson, Amber Atwood (Chris Jackson), Candy Atwood (Robert Pollitt), Kelsey (Wes) Shepherd, Kristin (Cody) Herbert, Karley (Toby) Fox, Matt (Aimee) Penticuff, Megan and Ethan Weesner; great grandchildren, Karly, Brecken, Lincoln, Maverick, Gunner, Hunter, Zoey, Shelby, Callie, Landon, Ben, Thachary, Dixie, Paisley, Jaxton, Halee, Gracelynn, Gavin, Kesley, Westlynn, Jane, Colton, Adisun, Lennyn, Olivia, Cooper; brother, Steve (Carol) Parker, sister, Helen Parker; sisters-in-law, Rose (Don) Elliott, Kathi (Earl) Nunley, Shirley Weesner and Linda Parker and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William “Bill” Weesner; a granddaughter, Kristin Weesner; a brother, Junior Parker; sisters, Betty Walters and Barbara Ausenbaugh; special friends, Mike (Jowana) Abrams and Ronnda Wimmer.

Services will be at 11:00 a.m. Friday, July 16, 2021 at Mt. Summit Christian Church with Pastor Ben Brandt officiating. Burial will follow at Green Hills Memory Gardens. Visitation will be from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. Thursday, July 15 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service in New Castle. Memorial contributions may be made to the Mt. Summit Christian Church.
