Neysa R. Wilt

Neysa R. Wilt, 84, of New Castle passed away Wednesday, August 21, 2019 at Stonebrook Rehabilitation Center in New Castle surrounded by her loving family.
She was born January 26, 1935 in LaHarpe, IL to the late Leon Dale and Ruth Verrl (Jacobs) Vass.

She was a Graduate of Carthage College in Carthage, IL where she received her Bachelors of Science degree. She met her husband, William H. Wilt; at Indiana Central now know as University of Indianapolis. She was a teacher for 6 years at Rush and Shelby County schools and a Radiology Medical Transcriptionist at Henry County Hospital for 25 years. Neysa was a member of First Baptist Church in New Castle. She was a former member of Trinity Methodist Church in New Castle where she served as church secretary and played the organ for many years.

She is survived by her son, Malcolm S. Wilt of Noblesville; granddaughter; Rachel E. Gibson of New Castle; son-in-law, Larry Gibson of New Castle; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, William H. Wilt; daughter, Sarah B. Gibson; brother, Ward D. Vass and an infant brother John Neal Vass.

Services will be at 11:00am Saturday, August 24, 2019 at First Baptist Church in New Castle with Rev. Verla Custer officiating. Visitation will be from 10:00am until time of service. Interment will follow, at the convenience of the family, in Byler Cemetery in Dallas City, IL.
