Odell Randolph Kennedy, 91, of Spiceland went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, March 6, 2019 at Hancock Regional Hospital. He was born February 24, 1928 in Wayne County, KY to the late German and Mollie (Lowe) Kennedy.
Odell retired from Ingersoll Steel in 1979 after 30 years of service. He is a member of the Grace Baptist Church and belonged to the Church of God for 29 years. Odell enjoyed hunting, fishing in Michigan, farming and especially spending time with his grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife of 69 years, Edna Lucille Kennedy; children, Troy (Diana) Kennedy of Spiceland, Wanda (Mark) Campbell of Knightstown, Kathy (Kennie) Hill of Greenfield and Ronald Kennedy of Spiceland; 9 grandchildren, Christina (Kevin) Morgan, Troy (Amber) and Ryan Kennedy, Chris (Melissa), Randy (Jessica) and Kevin Campbell, Drew (Whitney) Hill, Kirsten Hill and Brady Kennedy; 17 great-grandchildren; sister, Pansy Pyle; several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by 5 brothers, Garland, Gordon, James, Melvin and Gilbert Kennedy; 4 sisters, Laura Crabtree, Edith Lester, Vera Upchurch and Juanita Catron.
Services will be at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, March 9, 2019 at Grace Baptist Church with Reverends Gene Bennett and Denny Neal officiating. Burial will follow in South Mound Cemetery, West Lawn Addition.
