Opal June Woollard

Opal June Woollard, 74, of New Castle went to her Heavenly Home, Saturday February 16, 2019 at IU Ball Memorial Hospital in Muncie. She was born April 5, 1944 in New Castle to the late Robert and Ida (Tuggle) Tucker.
June was a loving wife, mother and grandmother and was a strong Christian woman. She enjoyed listening to Billy Graham and considered him as her pastor. June was also a very loving aunt, giving special attention to her nieces and nephews over the years. She was an avid sports fan and especially enjoyed watching her grandchildren in their sporting events. June herself enjoyed playing softball and bowling. She also enjoyed camping, fishing, traveling and genealogy.
June is survived by her husband of 56 years, John Woollard of New Castle; son, John (Tacey)Woollard Jr. of New Castle; grandchildren, Alaynie and Nathaniel Woollard both of New Castle; sister, Evie (Mick) Oliver-Ballard of Millville; several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, June is preceded in death by her sisters, Maxine Vores and Mary Louise Guffey.
Services will be 11:00am Wednesday February 20, 2019 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service in New Castle. Burial will follow in South Mound Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4-8pm on Tuesday.
