Paul Eugene Pickett

February 22, 1930 - December 11, 2021

Paul Eugene Pickett was a loving and caring husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend. He left this world after a short illness on December 11, 2021, at age 91. Despite his illness he came out a hero and stayed strong until the end. Paul was born to Mae “Pickett” Rathburn and Homer Pickett on February 22, 1930, and is survived by his wife, Helen Sue “Reynolds” Pickett. He was a proud Father to two sons: Mark and Jerry and daughter Brenda. One granddaughter, Autumn Pickett Hibbs and many nieces and nephews. He is also survived by two sisters, Mabel Longnecker and Charlena Sands and one brother Marian Pickett all of Cambridge city. He is preceded in death by his twin sister Paulina “Pickett” Cochran of Apache Junction, Arizona, three brothers: Robert, Richard and Jackie Pickett. He was a lifelong army veteran in which he proudly served in the Korean war and in the National guard/Reserves until he retired. A funeral service for family only, is scheduled for Wednesday, December 15, 2021 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Home, 3406 S Memorial Dr, New Castle, IN. and will be interned at the Lewisville cemetery. It is requested that you respect the covid rules of wearing a mask and 6’ distance please. In lieu of flowers, please donate to the VFW of your choice.
