Paula Jo Goans, 67, of New Castle, passed away Thursday, August 26, 2021 at Henry Community Health. She was born January 30, 1954 in Albany, KY, a daughter of the late Robert P. and Mary Imogen (Cummings) Johnson.
A 1972 graduate of Lebanon High School, Paula was a homemaker and enjoyed watching game shows, wrestling, Steve Harvey and Joel Osteen.
She is survived by a son, Wesley Goans of New Castle; three grandsons, Blakely and Brooks Goans and Zachary Pennington; siblings, Wayne (Barb) Cummings of Sun City, AZ, Vicki (Frank) Barber of New Castle, Robert Johnson of New Castle, David Johnson of New Castle, Linda (Mike) Ebler of Shirley and Roger (Billie) Johnson of McCordsville; special friend, Jimmy Briar of New Castle; many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Steve Goans, a son, Jason Goans, a sister, Judy Cummings, and a nephew, Jeremy Barber.
