Phyllis J. Bertram

Phyllis J. Bertram, 84, of New Castle passed away Tuesday, June 22, 2021 at her residence. She was born June 11, 1937 in New Castle, Indiana, a daughter of the late Dale E. and Docia A. (Means) Black.

A lifelong resident of New Castle, she retired from Dana Corporation following several years of service. Phyllis loved playing BINGO, fishing and was a teddy bear collector.

She is survived by two sons, Gary Fellers of New Castle and Richard “Rick” (Karen) Fellers of Straughn; three stepsons, Robert “Bobby” Bertram of Darlington, South Carolina, Darrell (Nadine) Bertram and Glenn Bertram, both of Dublin; 9 grandchildren, Scott Bertram and Shawn Laurie both of Florence, SC, Joshua Bertram of Shelbyville, Stephanie Ketring, of Cambridge City, Kristina Bertram of Connersville, Susan Fellers of Pershing, Christy Razor, Lori Fellers and Ryan Fellers, all of Indianapolis; 19 great-grandchildren, 5 great-great grandchildren, sister, Nancy Lee of New Castle; several nieces and nephews and her best canine friend, Morgan.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Bobby Bertram in 2019; a son, Allen Bertram and a sister, Joyce Thornburg.

Services will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday, June 26, 2021 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service in New Castle with Pastor Mark Herbkersman officiating. Visitation will be from 12:00 p.m. until time of services.
