Plumie Alma Bell Kendall

Plumie Alma Bell Kendall, 89, of Hillsboro passed away Friday, January 15, 2021 at Heritage House. She was born August 17, 1931 in Bell Hill, Kentucky, a daughter of the late Luther and Flonnie (Fouste) Bell.

Plumie was the oldest of seven children. She met the love of her life, Harold Leroy Kendall in 1955 when he was home for the holidays from San Diego, CA. He called California, quit his job and remained in New Castle until his passing.

Survivors include three daughters, Linda (James) Cross of Mooreland, Lisa (David) Lance of New Castle and Lori (Delmas) Rose of Monticello, KY; grandchildren and their families, Maranda Cross (Logan) Cougill and son, John Cougill of New Castle, Autumn (Jason) Price and son, Jalen Price of New Castle, John Lance and daughter Alexa of New Castle, Steve (Jessica) Rose and daughter Destiny Rose of Somerset, KY and his step-children, Danielle Rowe, Dustin Rowe, Logan Sneed and Hunter Sneed; Matthew Rose and Jacquline Huff, daughter Elisabeth Rose; step daughters, Abby and Lee Ann Taylor both of Monticello, KY; brothers, Ancil (Lizzie) Bell of Stearns, KY and Lyall Dimpsy Bell and sister, Dorothy Stringer both of Monticello, KY.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Harold Leroy Kendall; brothers, Cecil and Carl Bell and a sister, Lela.

The Kendall family would like to express their appreciation for all the love, support and care provided to their mother over the last 4 years from the staff at Heritage House.

Services will be 12:30 p.m. Tuesday, January 19, 2021 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service in New Castle with Brenda Early officiating. Burial will follow in Hillsboro Cemetery. Visitation will be 10:30 a.m. until time of services at the funeral home on Tuesday. Due to Covid-19 and the governor’s mandate, facial coverings must be worn.
