R. Elaine Crim Wilson

R. Elaine (Crim) Wilson, 97, of New Castle passed away Wednesday, June 30, 2021 at her residence. She was born September 26, 1923 in Spiceland, Indiana, a daughter of the late Sam and Gertrude (Chandler) Conrad.
She retired in 1986 from Ernst & Young Accounting, LLP in Kalamazoo, Michigan where she had been employed as a Business Manager for 12 years. Elaine was a member of PEO Sorority, First Friends Meeting in New Castle and Spiceland Friends Church. She enjoyed flower gardening and vacations on the beach in Florida.
Survivors include a son, David P. (Candy) Crim of Murfreesboro, Tennessee; her daughter, Patricia Crim of New Castle; her cherished “adopted” children, Jean Hayes LaPlante, Susan Hayes Hoover and Michael Hayes.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband’s Paul Crim and Charles Wilson, respectively.
A memorial service will be at 5:00 p.m. Thursday, July 8, 2021 at Spiceland Friends Church with David Brock officiating. Memorial contributions may be given to the Spiceland Friends Church, 401 West Main Street, Spiceland, IN 47385. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service in New Castle.
