Randall W. Overman

Randall W. Overman, 67, of Knightstown passed away Saturday, October 30, 2021. He was born September 1, 1954 in Fort Benning, Georgia to the late Harry Stanley and Della Irene (Middleton) Overman.

Randy was a 1972 graduate of Knightstown High School. In his earlier years, he worked with his father at New Castle Mobile Home Factory then at Wilkinson Implements in Knightstown. In 1976, he joined his father at Overman Plumbing, Heating & Electric, Inc. Randy served as the Wayne Township Trustee for forty years as well as on the Board of the Henry County ICAP for many years. He was an avid gun collector, enjoyed fishing, telling stories and visiting the Wright Patterson Air Force Museum. More than anything, Randy loved spending time with his family and grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Chris Overman; sons, Brad (Michelle) Overman of Knightstown, Daniel Overman of Wilkinson; grandchildren, Rayannon (fiancé,Brandon Dorrel), Derek, Carson, Bryce and Abigail Overman; siblings, Linda Overman of Pawley’s Island, South Carolina, James (Martha) Overman of Rocklin, California; nephews, Scott (Ann) Johnson, Keith Johnson and Brian Johnson; nieces, Patty (Javier) Contreras, Lorrell (Jason) Duteil, Terrell (Jason) Dobis and many friends.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a niece, Laura Johnson.

Services will be at 10:00 a.m. Friday, November 5, 2021 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service Knightstown Chapel. Burial will follow at Glen Cove Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. Thursday, November 4 at the funeral home.
