Ricky Darrell Skinner

Ricky Darrell Skinner, 64 of Shirley, passed away Sunday, August 27, 2017 at Parkview Regional Medical Center in Ft. Wayne. He was born January 30, 1953 in Indianapolis the son of Rex Skinner and Lillie (Hinton) Rankins.
Ricky worked at Metals Technology in Shirley, and had worked at Firestone. He was former president of the UAW. He was very family oriented and loved spending time with his family and grandchildren. Ricky also enjoyed the outdoors, golf, fishing, camping and boating.
He is survived by a son, Rick (Jodi) Skinner of Connersville; a daughter, Misty Skinner of Wilkinson; mother, Lillie Rankins of Shirley, formerly of Knightstown; grandchildren, Hannah Miller, Erick Skinner, Andi Skinner, and Avery Pastrick; great granddaughter, Emery Kindler; two half brothers, Rex (Tracy) Skinner and Randy (Carolyn) Skinner; many aunts, cousins, nieces and nephews.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a brother, Wayne Skinner.
Services will be at 2:30 PM Friday, September 1, 2017 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service Knightstown Chapel with Rev. Gene Bennett officating. Burial will follow in Glen Cove Cemetery. Friends may call from 4-8 PM Thursday. Condolences and memories of Ricky may be shared at www.hinsey-brown.com .
