Robert "Bob" Eugene Lawson

Robert “Bob” Eugene Lawson, 72, of New Castle passed away at his residence on October 10, 2021. He was born June 6, 1949 in Muncie, IN, a son of the late Joe Mearl Lawson and Delores Lucille (Covey) Bayes.

Bob had a friendly helping spirit that was always willing to help someone in need. Bob loved spending time with his children; even though it was a co-parenting situation, Bob always made a point to have his kids. He was a strong believer in God and his children are named after Biblical names. Bob loved music and playing instruments, especially the guitar. He was an artist; talented in drawing, painting and woodworking. Bob had a passion for classic cars and even owned a couple late model classics. He also enjoyed motorcycles. Bob was a 32-degree Mason and member of the Scottish Rite and New Castle Masonic Lodge #91.

Bob is survived by his four sons, Jonathon (Anna) Lawson of New Castle, Joseph A. Lawson of Pendleton, Eric Lawson of New Castle and Jacob (Kimberly) Lawson of New Castle; grandchildren, Stacie M., Maynard, Rosanna, Samuel, Blake and Blaine Lawson; great grandchildren, Elaina Jade and Veda Gold; siblings, Michael Lawson of Knoxville, TN, Wesley (Cathy) Lee of New Castle, Debbie (Charlie) Soloman, Donna (Rhenda) Guilford, Reba (Ronnie) Thurman all of Knoxville, TN.

In addition to his parents, Bob was preceded in death by a brother, Randy Lee.
