Robert C. Rogers, 47, of Indianapolis, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, December 9, 2017 at Franciscan Health in Greenwood. He was born September 2, 1970 in Lafayette, the son of Robert J. and June Ann (Scott) Rogers.

A 1989 graduate of New Castle Chrysler High School, Robert graduated from Rose Hulman Institute of Technology in 1994. He was an engineer with Farah and Sons Engineering in Indianapolis. He had previously worked for A&F Engineering, Master’s Heating and Cooling, and Indiana Department of Transportation. He also owned Rogers, Inc. He was a former member of St. Anne Catholic Church in New Castle and was a member of Nativity Catholic Church in Indianapolis.

An Eagle Scout, Robert was very active with Toastmasters in Greenwood, where he was presently serving as Treasurer, and had held other offices. He was active with the Sons of the American Revolution as well as Daughters of the American Revolution, assisting several with genealogical studies. An avid researcher, he enjoyed assisting Historical Societies with genealogical research, some including Johnson and Henry Counties. He also served on the Whiteland Volunteer Fire Department.

A natural teacher, he loved spending time with his son, Sam, and also loved his daughters.

Survivors include his children, Alexandria Marie, Sarah Nicole, and Samuel Scott Rogers, all of Indianapolis; his fiancé, Jannan De Carli of Brazil, and her children, Cara Fugate of Terre Haute, Mercedes and Kaylee Beasley, both of Brazil, and Eric Beasley of Indianapolis; his mother, June A. Rogers of New Castle; his sister, Anne M. Rogers of New Castle; nephew, Victor Mukes; great niece, Annabelle Mukes; great nephew, Owen Mukes; aunt, Mary (Bill) Seely of Indianapolis, and their son, James Seely; uncles, Richard (Roxann) Wagner of FL, John (Terri) Scott of Delphi, and their children, Brian (Nicole) Scott, Melanie (Jameson) Campbell; and his maternal grandfather, Robert Reed Scott of Delphi.

He was preceded in death by his father, Robert J. Rogers in 2010; maternal grandmother, Elnora (Johnson) Scott, and his paternal grandparents, Delbert and Thelma Rogers.

Services will be at 7:00 p.m., Wednesday, December 13, 2017 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service with Father John Hall officiating. Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, prior to the service. Burial will be at 1:00 p.m., Thursday, December 14, 2017 at Hickory Grove Cemetery in Delphi.
