Robin Renee Wilkerson

Robin Renee (Gwynn) Wilkerson, 60, of New Castle, passed away peacefully surrounded by close friends on Thursday, May 10, 2018 following a courageous 10 year battle with cancer. She was born February 7, 1958 in Anderson, IN to the late David Gwynn and Evelyn (Hodgson) Miller.
Robin will be fondly remembered by her beautiful smile, soul and free spirit. She could always be counted on for her quick wit, through her caring and compassionate nature. As an inspiration to many people, her positive outlook on life will continue to warm the hearts of others. She enjoyed everything from music to movies; including camping and gardening. Most importantly, spending quality time with her daughter and life-long friends is what signified her love for life. She could often be heard saying, “carry on”, which her family and friends adopted as their motto to honor her.
She was a long-time member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles, 933 Aux and VFW Post 1282 in New Castle, IN.
Her memories are cherished by a daughter, Jasmine Gregg (Reza Ardalan), of Poway, CA and unborn granddaughter, whom she was looking forward to meeting; step-daughters, Lea (Samuel) Thomas of Corinth, NY and Laura Wilkerson of Middletown; several nieces and nephews, grandchildren and a great grandson; and a special friend, Johnny Shepperd.
She was preceded in death by her parents and spouse, John “Ralph” Wilkerson.
There will be no public visitation or services. A Celebration of Life will be held at the Fraternal Order of Eagles in New Castle on Wednesday, May 16 at 6:30 pm. There will be an additional Celebration of Life announced at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to Eagles Ladies Auxillary, 14 N CR 25 W New Castle, IN.
