Ruth Mae Turner

Ruth Mae Turner, 86, of New Castle passed away Saturday, September 2, 2017 at Heritage House in New Castle. She was born April 11, 1931 to the late Marcus and Sarah (Cooper) Doss.
She loved bingo, shopping and gardening; she put out a garden until she was 85. Ruth enjoyed camping and fishing at Salamonie Camp Grounds. She was married to her husband Stanley Turner for 63 years before his passing in 2013.
She is survived by her children, Sona (Randy) Lowder of Burkesville, KY; Sam Turner of New Castle; granddaughter, Jenny Crawford of New Castle; four great grandchildren, Taylor Lowder, Cody Lowder, Myles Crawford, Charles Irelan, 2 great-great grandchildren, Hunter Asberry, Jaxon Garner, brother, Marcus Doss of Virginia.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Stanley Turner, grandson, Randy Lowder Jr., two sisters, Maxine Suttle and Gladdys Lovell, daughter-in-law, Dixie Turner.
Services will be at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, September 5, 2017 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Home in New Castle with Rev. Charles Dugger officiating. Burial will follow in Green Hills Memory Garden.
