Ruthie Waltz Sayre

Ruthie Waltz Sayre, 94, of New Castle passed away Sunday, September 22, 2019 at Hickory Creek of New Castle. She was born April 23, 1925 in Carter County, Kentucky to the late Watt and Martha (Hale) Bond.

Ruthie worked at Henry County Hospital in the housekeeping department for 20 years and was a member of the Brown Road Church of God. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother , great, great grandmother and a great cook.

Survivors include a son, Justin (Marty Lou) Waltz; daughter Patty O’Brien; grandchildren, David Shut, Patrick (Jana) Waltz and Craig (Lori) Waltz; great grandchildren, Ellen, Olivia, Sophie, Jake and Justin; and great great grandchildren, Lucas and Gracellynn.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Ervin Waltz; son, Michael Dale Waltz; five brothers and two sisters.

Services will be 1:00 pm Wednesday, September 25, 2019 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service in New Castle. Burial will follow in Green Hills Memory Gardens.
