Sarah L. Troxell, 82, a resident of Indianapolis passed away Thursday, June 17, 2021 at Community East Hospital in Indianapolis. She was born April 8, 1939 in Albany, Kentucky to the late Walter and Lola (Cross) Braswell.
An Indianapolis resident since 1998, she had previously been a longtime resident of New Castle. Sarah was a member of the Franklin Road Church of Christ in Indianapolis and enjoyed traveling, camping and watching television.
Survivors include three children: Debbie (Howell) Gross of Indianapolis, Terry (Cheryl) Troxell of Greenfield, and Regina (Troy) Adams of Fishers; eight grandchildren: Jason Gross, Autumn Gross, Chad Troxell, Andy Troxell, Eric Bledsoe, Jamie Fahey, Cody Troxell and Connor Adams; eleven great grandchildren; six great-great grandchildren; a sister: Glenda Mullins of New Palestine; several nieces & nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years: Arnold B. Troxell on May 2, 2015; a son Dwayne Troxell in 2010; a grandson: Michael Gross in 2020; a son-in-law: Howell Gross in 2020; three sisters: Mildred Phillips, Sue Brown and Elizabeth Phillips and her beloved dog, Savannah.
Visitation will be held from 1-5 p.m. Sunday, June 20, 2021 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service in New Castle. Funeral services will be at 12:30 p.m. Monday, June 21, 2021 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service with Brandon Lavy officiating. Burial will follow at South Mound Cemetery, West Lawn Addition.
