Shannon Douglas Elmore

Shannon Douglas Elmore, 54, of Carthage, passed away Friday, December 6, 2019 at his residence. He was born November 10, 1965 in Rushville, Indiana.
Shannon attended Knightstown High School and worked as a stone mason. A member of the American Legion, he enjoyed fishing, woodworking and a good campfire.
He is survived by his mother, Annis Jean “AJ” (McDaniel) Pike of Carthage; brother, Chris Elmore of FL; niece, Jessica (Keoki) Huesing of Carthage; great niece and nephew, Karen and Joshua Moore of Carthage; nieces and nephews, Christopher, Derrick, Heather, and Lauren Elmore of FL; and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his step-father, Marvin Pike and his grandparents: Rue and Ruth McDaniel.
A celebration of life service will be at 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, December 10, 2019 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service, Knightstown Chapel with Pastor Joel Troxell officiating. Burial will follow in Glen Cove Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4:00-8:00 P.M. Monday, December 9 at the funeral home. Condolences and memories of Shannon may be shared at www.hinsey-brown.com .
