Sharon D. Delk

Sharon D. Delk, 54, of New Castle, passed away Monday, October 7, 2019 at St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis. She was born August 4, 1965 in New Castle, a daughter of the late James M. and Linda Lee (Losey) Delk.

A 1985 graduate of Blue River Valley High School, she worked at Harvest Market in New Castle and then worked for several years at Ford Motor Co. in Connersville. Sharon was a member and faithful donor to the 700 Club. Her niece, nephew, and great niece and nephews were the love of her life. She enjoyed them immensely. She enjoyed watching Hallmark movies, especially at Christmas time.

She leaves to cherish her memory, her brother, James E. (Yvonne) Delk of New Castle; a niece, Jessica (Caleb) Hatfield of New London, MN; a nephew, James Oney Delk of New Castle; great niece and nephews, Serenity (6), Castiel (4), and Ares (1); many cousins, aunts and uncles.

She was preceded in death by her parents, James M. and Linda L. Delk.

Services will be at 1:00 p.m., Friday, October 11, 2019 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service with Pastor Larry Delon officiating. Burial will follow in South Mound Cemetery-West Lawn Addition. Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Thursday, October 10, 2019 at the funeral home.
