Sharon Ann Halcomb

Sharon Ann Halcomb, 73, of Knightstown, passed away Sunday, July 16, 2017 at Hancock Regional Hospital following a brief illness. She was born March 13, 1944 New Castle, Indiana, to the late Howard and Elizabeth (Foster) Houchins.

A 1962 graduate of Spiceland High School, she attended the Wilkinson Church of Christ. As a loving homemaker, Sharon enjoyed cooking, especially for her family; flower gardening, and horseback riding. She enjoyed watching her grandchildren participate in sports activities as well as 4-H, as her grandchildren were her #1 hobby.

Survivors include her husband of 55 years, Charles Halcomb of Knightstown, whom she married June 7, 1962; her children, Gary (Jean) Halcomb of Dunreith, Randy (Julie) Halcomb of Spiceland, Scott (Jennifer) Halcomb of Knightstown and Lesley (Matt) Tice of Greenfield; grandchildren, Jared, Nathan, Mitchell (Ashley) and Luke (Krysten) Halcomb, Brittany (Brad) Logan, Ryan Halcomb (Cassie Hammer), Taylor, Paige, Mallory, Brody, and Wyatt Halcomb, Audrey, Walker and Nolan Tice; great grandchildren, Jeron, Gavin, and Kaydence Logan, Kendyl and Kyrie Halcomb; a sister, Joan (Bob) Clapp of Spiceland, and a brother, Larry Houchins of Spiceland.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by; grandson, Jackson Tice, and another grandchild in infancy.

Services will be at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, July 22, 2017 at the Wilkinson Church of Christ with Pastor Dan D’Angelo officiating. Burial will follow in Glen Cove Cemetery.
