Sharon Zinkan, 86, of Knightstown, passed away Thursday, April 1, 2021 at her residence. She was born April 5, 1934 in Vincennes, the daughter of Kenneth and Lucille (Smith) Brines.
Sharon retired from Community Hospital after 38 years of service and obtained a Bachelor’s Degree at the age of 74 from IUPUI. She was a longtime member of St. Rose Catholic Church and a member of the Shakespeare Club. She loved spending time with her grandkids, never missing an activity they were a part of. Sharon was also an avid NASCAR fan.
She is survived by daughters, Lisa Zinkan (Steven Kopp) of California, Pamela (John) Ottinger of Carthage, Katherine Paul of Knightstown, Diane (Tony) Personett of Knightstown; grandchildren, Mick Ottinger, Sheri (Eric) Darling, Heather (Wes) Wilburn, Lara Paul, Tucker Personett (fiancé, Sydney Williams), and Paige Personett; great grandchildren, Isaac Ottinger, Evan Darling, Sara Darling, Masyn Wilburn, Lukas Wilburn and Jaxon Wilburn.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Zinkan.
Services will be at 11:00 AM Wednesday, April 7, 2021 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service Knightstown Chapel with Father John Hall officiating. Burial will follow in Glen Cove Cemetery.
