Sherlie Williams, 83, of New Castle passed away Thursday, October 21, 2021 at Henry Community Health in New Castle. She was born February 19, 1938 in New Castle, a daughter of the late Coy and Mallie (Claborn) Smith.

Sherlie was a graduate of Mays High School and a Henry County resident her entire life. She worked at First National Bank of Mays for 10 years and was a member of the Church of Christ on 200 North in New Castle.

Survivors include her brothers, Glen Smith of Mays, Indiana and Clifford (Irene) Smith of New Castle and several nieces, nephews, great nieces & great nephews.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband of 39 years, J.C. Williams and brothers JD, AC and Paul Smith.

Services will be 1:00 p.m. Monday, October 25, 2021 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service in New Castle with Phil Morgan officiating. Burial will follow in Glen Cove Cemetery in Knightstown. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until time of services Monday at the funeral home. You may express condolences or share a memory of Sherlie at www.hinsey-brown.com .
