Stanley E. Back, 75, of Knightstown passed away Thursday, September 30, 2021 at Hancock Regional Hospital. He was born November 17, 1945 in Olive Hill, Kentucky the son of Haskel and June (Owens) Back.
Stanley grew up in Kentucky then moved to Indiana to work at General Motors and retired after 43 years of service. He served in the U.S. Marines. Stanley enjoyed woodworking, gardening, squirrel hunting, fishing and anything outdoors. He attended Brandywine Community Church.
He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Judy Back; children, Greg (Gwen) Back of Shirley, Patrick Back (a combat veteran) of Knightstown; grandchildren, Amber (Josh) Smith, Brittany (Tyler) Scott, Kyle (Ashley) Back, Ryan Back, Tyler and Ashlyn Back; great grandchildren, Bailey, Brigid, Peyton, Eli, Aspen and Presley; two brothers, Stirl (Jerri) Back of Ocala, FL, Billy (Gretchen) Back of Knightstown; several nieces and nephews and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Services will be private with burial in Indiana Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Madison, IN. Arrangements have been entrusted to Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service Knightstown Chapel.
