Teddy G. Mawk, 79, of Mooreland passed away Saturday, September 29, 2018 at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was born October 28, 1938 in Lewis County, KY to the late James and Irene (Logan) Mawk.
He retired from Chrysler Corp. in 2001 after 36 years of service. Teddy was a member of the UAW 371 and a veteran of the U.S. Army serving from 1961 – 1963 in Korea. He attended South Christian Church in Mooreland. Teddy enjoyed bowling, gardening, yard work, cutting wood, playing poker and canning. He especially loved playing with his grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Della D. Mawk, 3 daughters, Donna Mawk (Mike Payton) of Mooreland, Lisa (Jamie) Morgan of New Castle and Melissa Susan (Ray) Wimmer of Black Hawk, CO; grandchildren, Logan and Karley Mawk, Austin Perdue, Teddi Perdue, Amber Delima, Raymond Wimmer II and James Wimmer; step grandchildren, Andrea Fields and Corey Morgan; step great-grandsons, Bradley Ryan Harris and Konnor Morgan; brother, John (Madonna) Mawk of Mooreland; several nieces, nephews and cousins.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a brother, Woodrow Mawk.
Services will be at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, October 4, 2018 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Services in New Castle with Pastor Mark Thompson officiating military rites will be conducted by a contingent of the U.S. Army, American Legion and VFW. Burial will follow in Mooreland Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 – 8 p.m. Wednesday, October 3rd at the funeral home and one hour prior to the service on Thursday.
