Terry Orr, 57, of New Castle passed away Tuesday, November 10, 2020 at IU Methodist Health. He was born September 19, 1963 in Henry County to Donald and Shirley (Griest) Orr.
He was a 1982 graduate of New Castle High School where he was a wrestler. In 2009 Terry received a kidney transplant after several years of dialysis giving him a higher quality of life for the past 11 years. He was grateful of the donation he received inspiring him to be a donor himself. Terry enjoyed collecting hot wheels with his grandsons and baseball cards for himself. He played softball on a men’s league. Terry loved spending time with his family and loved having someone around.
He is survived by his wife, Patti Orr; mother, Shirley Orr; daughter, Amanda Orr (Wayne Miller); step children, Anthony, Taylor and Elizabeth; grandchildren, Dillon, Kaci, Ella, Quinnce, Zoey, Tyra and Kaidon; siblings, Kevin Orr, Carol Orr, Dawn (Daryl) Shannon and Donnie Wiggens; brother-in-law, Daniel (Karina) Smith; several nieces, nephews and many close cousins.
He is preceded in death by his father, Donald Orr.
Services will be held at 4:00 p.m. Saturday, November 14, 2020 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service in New Castle. Visitation will be from 2 – 4 p.m. prior to the service. Memorial contributions may be sent to the Terry Orr Memorial Fund c/o Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service, 3406 S. Memorial Dr., New Castle, IN 47362.
