Troy W. Crabtree

Troy W. Crabtree, 55, of New Castle, IN lost his battle with cancer at the Henry County Hospital on May 11, 2017. He was born in New Castle, Indiana, December 12, 1961 a son of Donald Crabtree of New Castle and the late Vicki Crabtree.

Troy attended New Covenant Church in New Castle. He worked for several moving companies in California and Muncie. Troy enjoyed camping and fishing with friends, he was an avid collector of things. Troy also enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and special friends. Troy enjoyed life and lived it to its fullest. Troy will be missed by all his family and friends and will live on in their hearts forever.

Troy is survived by his loving wife of 22 years, Debbie Crabtree of New Castle; two sisters, Angela (partner: Linda Swails) Duvall Crabtree of New Castle and Melissa (Cedric) Hunter of Indianapolis; brother, Tracy (Shelly) Crabtree of ID; two sons, Joseph (partner: Natalie Strong) of Muncie and Don Carver of KY; daughter, Katylyn “Katie” Crabtree of New Castle; two step daughters, Natalea (Danny) Decker of New Castle and Lindsey (partner: Tom Bell) McDaniel of Anderson; grandchildren, Chase, Landon, Cannon and Preslee Decker, Jaxson Grubbs, Avah and Asher Crabtree; two special buddies, Lucas Hoelscher of New Castler and Rylan Campbell of Muncie. Troy had one niece and nephew Savannah Hunter, and Cedric Hunter, Jr., and several cousin three special cousins, Darren Crabtree of Richmond, Tammy Gibson of New Castle and Tony Lee of New Castle. Several aunts, uncles, and two very special friends, Bob and Shawn Hoelscher of New Castle.

In addition to his mother, Troy was preceded in death by best friend and brother-in-law, Greg Duvall; grandparents, Arco and Ampie Crabtree and Claude “Doc” and Marie Polston; a niece, Madeline Nevaeh Duvall.

Services will be at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 16, 2017 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service in New Castle with Pastor Eric Haler officiating.
