Troy Parker Willey, 50, of Kennard, passed away Wednesday, June 17, 2020. He was born April 30, 1970 in Greenfield the son of William Parker III and Ronelle (Dillon) Willey.
Troy was a 1989 graduate of Knightstown High School and then joined the U.S. Navy and was stationed on the U.S.S. Saratoga in Jacksonville, Florida. He was employed at Spectra Premium in Greenfield and previously worked at Detroit Steel in Morristown and Copeland in Rushville. Troy loved NASCAR and cheering for Dale Earnhardt, Jr., the Dallas Cowboys and playing corn hole.
He is survived by his wife, Melissa Willey; step children, Bobbi Jo Bales and Ben Bales; one step granddaughter; mother, Ronelle Willey; sister, Stacy Theobald; niece and nephews, Brandon Willey, Parker and Savannah Theobald; his special fur baby, Duke; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his father, William Parker Willey III; uncle, Robert “Bob” Willey; paternal grandparents, William Parker Willey II and Lorena (Morgan) Willey; maternal grandparents, Ruth Catherine and Thomas Sidney Dillon; aunts, Linda Jo Dillon and Dorothy Pugh; and many cousins.
Services will be at 7:00 PM Friday, June 26, 2020 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service Knightstown Chapel with Pastor Bob Lines officiating. Visitation will be from 4:00 PM until time of service. Military rites will be conducted by the Knightstown American Legion Post #152. Burial will be Saturday at 11:00 AM in Glen Cove Cemetery.
