Vernon Vincent Vierra, 64, of Shirley, passed away June 7, 2019 unexpectedly at his residence. He was born July 14, 1954 in Buffalo, New York, the son of Eddie Vierra and Mary Lou (Smith) Everhart.
Vern attended Hillsborough High School and then served in the National Guard. He was a roofer in his early years and loved fishing and race cars. Vern has worked for Burton Brother’s Amusements and lived with the Burton family for over 20 years. He attended Wilkinson Church of Christ where he was baptized. He was Uncle Vern to all he knew.
He is survived by a brother, Gary (Linda) Smith and family; three children, Travis, Trevor and Lori all of Florida; 10 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; a nephew, Richard Smith; and above all his beloved dog, Bandit.
Services will be at 1:00 PM Wednesday, June 19, 2019 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service Knightstown Chapel with Spencer Osborn officiating. Burial will follow in McCray Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11 AM until time of service.
