Albert “Sonny” Luther Wills, 71, of Knightstown, passed away Thursday, November 6, 2014 at Hancock Regional Hospital following a brief illness. He was born January 16, 1943 in Henry County a son of Burley and Etna (Couch) Wills.
Sonny was a 1961 graduate of Knightstown High School, and lived in Knightstown his entire life. He served in the U.S. Army in South Korea for 2 years. Sonny retired from Delco Remy after 32 years of service. He enjoyed watching his grandchildren play sports, Harley Davidson Motorcycles and running errands. He was a fix it man and helped his family endlessly with small repairs. Sonny was a born again Christian and attended the Middletown Church of the Nazarene. He loved music and played guitar and piano.
He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Myra Jane (Mattix) Wills; five children, Sonya (Stewart) Fontaine, Cara (Troy Payner) Peggs, Bryan (Jolinda) Peggs, Joe (Missy) Peggs, Julia (Mike) Reydell; grandchildren, Brie Branigin, Clayton Cox, Matthew Cox and Julius Payner, Wesley, Mackenzie and Kennedy Peggs, Devin and Dillon Silver, Amanda Silver Elkins, Drake Peggs, Brittany Reydell Rambis, Greta and Charlie Reydell; great grandchildren, Mykaela Leiby, Lilly Beatrice, Knox and Nora Rambis; a brother, Billy Wills and family; a sister, Florence Treadway; several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Mary Mohler; an infant brother, Robert Earl Wills.
Services will be at 10:00 AM Monday, November 10, 2014 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service Knightstown Chapel with Pastor Phil Rogers officiating. Burial will follow in Glen Cove Cemetery.
