Allen Lee Guffey

Allen “Lee” Guffey, 73, of New Castle passed away Saturday, June 21, 2025 following a brief battle with cancer. He was born May 22, 1952 in New Castle to the late Clarence and Josie (Williams) Guffey.

Lee was a graduate of New Castle Chrysler High School. He retired in 2020 from Keihn in Greenfield following 33 years of employment and most years had perfect attendance. He was a member of the Knights of Pythias Crescens Lodge #33. In his earlier years, Lee loved to golf and hunt squirrels. More recently, he enjoyed going to the casino and was an avid fan of the Indianapolis Colts and Indiana Pacers. More than anything else, Lee was a hardworking family man who made sure they had everything they needed. He loved watching his grandkids play sports. Lee was an avid walker and could be seen regularly walking his dogs.

He is survived by his wife of 33 years, Patricia Guffey; children, Angela Guffey, Mandy Riggs and Chad Blankenship; grandchildren, Alexis Whitted (Nick LaRose), Kaylea DeWitt (Kyle Benson), Derek Amonett and Shalee Guffey (Nathan Divens); siblings, Mark “Ray” (Marilyn) Guffey, Duane “Mo” Guffey, Tony (Christy) Guffey and Tammy Feaster and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by sisters, Sharon Feaster and Brenda Ferrell; a brother-in-law, Gary Feaster and a nephew, Jacob Feaster.
