April Suzanne Jones, 49, passed away on September 17, 2025, in Muncie. She was born on October 3, 1975, in Eustis, Florida, to Dorothy Jones and the late Stephen Kennedy.
Each morning, April dedicated time to watch her favorite television show, "Murder, She Wrote," enjoying the comfort it brought her as she planned her day. Her home was known for its welcoming atmosphere, where friends and family were always greeted with open arms. She was also a true lover of country music.
April shared her life with her beloved dog, Gabe, who provided her with companionship and joy. She also shared the last 15 years of life with her boyfriend, Fred, whom she dearly loved. She had a heart of gold, always striving to see the good in every situation and teaching those around her the importance of positivity and warmth.
Sweets held a special place in April’s heart; she delighted in indulging in them, especially her one of her favorite snacks, Chex Mix, which she adored around Christmas time. Her fondness for sweet tea and fountain pop was a well-known fact, and these simple pleasures brought joy to her daily life.
She is remembered as a devoted mother whose life revolved around her children, who were the greatest joy of her existence. April exemplified the essence of caring and compassion, qualities that defined her character and the countless lives she touched.
Those left to cherish her memory include her children, Aubrey (Trenton) Sewell and Joseph Jones; stepdaughter, Ashley (Scott) Finnerty; boyfriend, Fred Gulley; ex-husband, Joe Jones; and mother, Dorothy Jones.
April was preceded in death by her father, Stephen Kennedy; grandmother, Mary Kay; and her beloved fur baby, Gabby.
