Belinda Jones

Belinda Jones, 69, of New Castle passed away Sunday, January 11, 2026 at IU Health Ball Memorial Hospital in Muncie. She was born January 23, 1956 in New Castle to Robert "Bob" and Martha (Weddell) Fairchild.

A 1974 graduate of Tri High School, Belinda managed a group home at Cardinal Services (now Indiana Mentor) in New Castle for many years. She previously worked at Hilltop Florist in Knightstown. Family meant everything to Belinda and she loved spending time with her grandchildren and attending their sporting events. She also found joy in attending county music concerts, family dinners, and caring for her cats.

Those left to cherish Belinda’s memory are her husband of 22 years, Warren Jones; son Shane (Amber) Smith of Richton, Mississippi; step-sons, Todd (Nikki) Jones of Centerville and Brad (Abby) Jones of Straughn; grandchildren, Deven (Kassie), Nick, Mason, Taven, Brayden, Kaylynn, Alex, Gabe, Colton, Lillian, Landon and Sara; mother, Martha Fairchild of New Castle; siblings, Gary (Tracy) Fairchild of Chesterfield, Karen Freestone of Carthage and Steve (Kim) Fairchild of North Carolina; several nieces and nephews.

Belinda was preceded in death by her father, Robert “Bob” Fairchild and a sister, Cindy.

Graveside services will be held Thursday, January 15, 2026 at 1:00 p.m. at Circle Grove Cemetery in Spiceland with Rev. Gene Bennett officiating.
