Benjamin Levi Pruet

Benjamin Levi Pruet, 45, a resident of Indianapolis passed away Thursday, July 30, 2026 at his home. He was born September 9, 1980 in Indianapolis to William and Darla (Pruet) Armstrong of Rushville.

Ben had been employed at Shares, Inc in Greenfield where he worked assembling parts. He loved old time horror movies such as Frankenstein and Airwolf. Abbot and Costello were another favorite of Ben’s. Listening to Rock and Roll music was one of his favorite things to do. He also enjoyed attending Sunday school where his mother taught at the Greensboro Church of the Nazarene. Ben loved a good meal and his favorite snacks were chocolate chip cookies.

In addition to his parents, Ben is survived by his siblings Travis (Melissa) Armstrong of New Castle, Brad (Megan) Finch of Cecil, OH and Allie Armstrong of Rushville; “adopted” brothers: Ed Stoute of Iowa and Josh Brinson of Greenfield; several aunts, uncles, cousins and a host of close friends.

Ben was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents: Frank and Esther Pruet, paternal grandmother: Martha Shory and an uncle: John Armstrong, Sr.

A Celebration of Life for Ben will be held at 1:00pm Saturday, August 8, 2026 at Rushville Church of the Nazarene with Pastors Doug Wall and Gene Bennett officiating.
