Beulah Lee Fudge, 84, of Eaton, Ohio, passed away peacefully on July 14, 2022 after a brief diagnosis of cancer. Beulah was born February 4, 1938 to Dewitt Talmadge Bell Sr and Anna Gregory Bell in Monticello, Kentucky.
Beulah was the oldest of 8 children and enjoyed learning and attending school. Her family made their way to the Lewisville, IN area around 1953 where Beulah graduated from Lewisville High School in 1958. Married in 1959 to Clifford Edward Stearns, they moved to Connersville, Indiana in 1961. Where they had five children; Mark Stearns, Kathy (Fred) Nau, John Stearns and Jason Stearns, also surviving are 6 grandchildren; five great grandchildren and three sisters. Beulah is preceded in death by her son David Stearns in 2019, two sisters and two brothers.
Beulah enjoyed canning vegetables and blackberry jelly and won numerous blue ribbons in the mid 70’s at the Fayette County Fair. The family vacations to the NASA Space Center in Florida, the Biltmore Mansion in South Carolina and Myrtle Beach were fun and entertaining times for everyone. While Beulah and Clifford divorced in 1985, she married Marion Fudge of Eaton, OH in 1987. Beulah and Marion traveled often to Colorado and Wyoming. Tending to her rose garden and flower gardens brought Beulah much happiness. In later years, she enjoyed time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Beulah and Marion remained together until his passing in 2017.
Beulah had a feisty and vibrant personality and really walked to the beat of her own drum. But as people would say, you couldn’t help by like her!
Service will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday, July 23, 2022 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service in New Castle, Indiana. Burial will follow in Lewisville Cemetery. Visitation will be from 9-10AM Saturday at the funeral home. Lunch will be provided at noon at The Gathering at located at 902 East Main Street in Lewisville, Indiana.
