Billy Joe Wills

Billy Joe Wills traveled to Heaven peacefully Sunday, October 25, 2026. He was born March 27, 1945 the son of Burley and Etna (Couch) Wills.

Billy was a 1964 graduate of Knightstown High School. He retired from Guide Lamp after 30 years of service. He and his wife owned and operated Wills Furniture and Sandra Wills Bus Trips. He was a member of Local 663 UAW and attended Cadiz Friends Church. After retiring from their furniture store, they enjoyed life at Lake Santee, IN prior to returning to New Castle. Fishing was one of his favorite pastimes.

He is survived by his children, David (Tonia) Wills, Suzee (Scott) Neal and Charlynn Neal; grandchildren, Courtney Kilgore, Chase Wilson, Zane Neal, Jordan (Carrie) Wills and Jeremy Wills; great granddaughters, Hazel Wilson and Etta Lu Neal; nephew, Iven (Elaine) Mohler; nieces, Amy Mohler and Elizabeth Mohler; sister-in-law, Myra Wills and her children.

In addition to his parents, he was greeted in Heaven by his loving wife of 40 years, Sandra; daughter, Donna Wilson and her husband, Al Wilson; his brother, Albert “Sonny” Wills; sisters, Florence Treadway and Mary Mohler; and grandson, Bryant Neal.

Services will be Thursday, October 29, 2026 at 2:00 PM at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service, Knightstown Chapel with Pastor Bob Lines officiating. Burial will follow in Glen Cove Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4-8 PM Wednesday. Condolences and memories of Billy may be shared at www.hinsey-brown.com.
