Billy Allen Wright, Sr.

Billy Allen Wright Sr, 83, a resident of Spiceland passed away Saturday, September 5, 2026 at his home. He was born September 7, 1942 in Revelo, Kentucky to the late Raymond and Maxine (McCartt) Wright.

A veteran of the US Army, Bill served in Germany. He retired from Chrysler Corp in 2002 after nearly 40 years of service. In his earlier years, he was a reserve deputy for the Henry County Sheriff's Dept. Bill was affiliated with the Jehovah's Witnesses. He was a private pilot and also enjoyed traveling, especially to Europe, Germany, Cancun and the Bahamas. Bill was an avid outdoorsman and loved hunting, fishing and his orchard. He also had his own machine shop.

Survivors include his wife of 33 years, Cindy Wright, whom he married September 4, 1993; three sons: Bill Wright, Jr of Parker City, Brian (Karen) Wright of Sequim, Washington and Paul (Holli) Wright of Spiceland; grandchildren, Isabelle (Zachary) Zentz, Nikola,  Benjamin, Billy David, Paul Frankie and Cameron Wright; two great-grandchildren, Eleanor Drew and Joseph Michael Zentz; brothers, Ray, Con, Nick, Newt and Bruce (Martha) Wright; a sister, Betty Rose and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Bill was preceded in death by a son, Edward “Eddie” Wright, a sister, Mary Margaret Fannin and an infant brother.

A Celebration of Life will be held from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday, September 10, 2026 at the Gathering, 902 E. Main Street, Lewisville, IN with Dick Webster speaking at 5:00 p.m. Visitation will be from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday, September 11, 2026 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service in New Castle.
