Bobby Ray Morgan Jr.

Bobby “Bob” Ray Morgan Jr, 63, of New Castle passed away Monday, February 16, 2026 at IU Health Ball Hospital. He was born December 20, 1962 in New Castle to the late Bobby Ray Sr. and Carolyn (Conley) Morgan.

Bob, a 1981 graduate of New Castle Chrysler High School then answered the call to serve his country, enlisting in the U.S. Marine Corps, stationed in Camp Lejeune, and completing three years of active duty before transitioning to the Reserves, where he continued his duty until 1987. Though the Marine Corps forged his discipline and grit, it was his family that formed the heart of his world; affectionately called “Day Day” by his adoring grandchildren, he cherished every laugh, story, and dinner shared around the table. After hanging up his uniform, Bob owned and operated a trucking company, enjoying his time on the road. He thoroughly enjoyed Harley‑Davidson Motorcycles and his dogs, Tank and Fiona.

He is survived by his wife of nearly 33 years, Pattie Morgan; daughters, Stephannie (Eric) Patterson, Samantha Smith and Lindsey Morgan; grandchildren, Alisha, Kyryn, Eli, Kinlee, Lucas and Maverick; son-in-law, Colte Foor; sister-in-law, Nancy (Phil) Koontz and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

In addition to his parents, she is preceded in death by brothers, Woodrow “Woody” Morgan, Phillip Morgan; granddaughter, Lil Red Jones; an uncle, David “Bud” Morgan; several aunts and his mamaw.
