Bobby G. Rhodes

Bobby G. Rhodes, 73, of Knightstown, passed away Monday, February 17, 2020 at St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis. He was born July 19, 1946 in Rushville a son of Ersel and Betty (Webber) Rhodes.
Bobby was a graduate of Knightstown High School and served in the U.S. Army. He owned and operated Rhodes Small Engine Repair for 40 years. Bobby was a member of the Knightstown American Legion Post #152. He enjoyed going to races and watching NASCAR. He had a great sense of humor and loved to cut up and make people laugh.
He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Bonnie (Hamilton) Rhodes; children, Amber (Brian) Kavanagh and Bobbi Rhodes both of Knightstown; grandchildren, C.J. Hines, Heavyn Hines, Jauna Stewart, Zack St. John, Allison St. John, Alaina Freeman, Chelsae St. John, Haley Rollins, and Bailey Rollins; great grandchildren, Brody, Elijah, Aiden, Stella, Collin, James, and Emmarie; sisters, Starr (Bob) Barrows of Shelbyville, Sally (Dick) Hamilton of Carthage; sister-in-law, Janet Rhodes of Knightstown; aunts, Betty Richmond of Knightstown, Kay Woods of Rushville and Lawana Alford of FL; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Misty Hines; sisters, Diana Day and Faye Chandler; and a brother, Don Rhodes.
Services will be at 10:00 AM Saturday, February 22, 2020 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service, Knightstown Chapel, with Coetta Dewitt officiating. Military rites will be conducted by the Knightstown American Legion Post #152. Burial will follow in Glen Cove Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4-8 PM Friday.
