Brad Hibbert, 39, a resident of Knightstown passed away unexpectedly on Friday, May 22, 2026, following a brief illness. Born on May 31, 1986, in Indianapolis, Brad was the beloved son of Stephen A. and Becky A. (Jeffers) Hibbert.
Throughout his life, Brad demonstrated a remarkable dedication to both family and community. He worked alongside his father in the construction industry throughout Henry County for many years, exemplifying a strong work ethic and commitment. Most recently, he served as a maintenance technician.
Brad was a member of the First Assembly of God in New Castle. A passionate sports enthusiast, he was a tremendous athlete during his years at Knightstown High School and went on to play soccer at Franklin College, excelling notably as a baseball and soccer player. His involvement extended beyond his own athletic pursuits; he generously shared his talents and love of the game as a high school soccer coach in Knightstown, inspiring many young athletes.
His sporting achievements spanned multiple disciplines, including soccer, basketball, and baseball, showcasing his versatility and competitive spirit. Known for his infectious sense of humor, Brad was a natural comedian who delighted in telling jokes and bringing laughter to those around him. Beyond sports, he pursued interests that reflected his vibrant personality. He enjoyed watching movies and was an avid fan of the Cleveland Browns. Music held a special place in his heart, particularly his cherished vinyl collection. He took great pride in his fantasy football group.
One of Brad’s greatest joys was watching and supporting his son, Jackson Hibbert, at various sporting events, a testament to his role as a loving and dedicated father.
Brad’s warmth was felt by all who knew him; he possessed a larger-than-life personality, never meeting a stranger and instantly making connections. His presence was a gift to family, friends, and community alike.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his son, Jackson Hibbert; his fiancée, Kristen Davis; his sister, Amber Hibbert (Aaron Boggs); his brother, Cody Hibbert; and three nieces, Adeline, Anna, and Amelia Hibbert. He is also survived by several aunts, uncles, and cousins who will carry forward his memory with love.
Brad was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Don and Betty Hibbert, and his maternal grandparents, Leonard and Judy Jeffers.
Visitation will be on Tuesday, May 26, 2026, from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service, Knightstown Chapel. The funeral service will be held the following day, Wednesday, May 27, 2026, beginning at 11:00 a.m., with Pastor Stephen Gallaway officiating. Burial will follow in Glen Cove Cemetery, Knightstown.
