Bradley Scott Padgett, 62, passed away Tuesday, November 9, 2021. He was born on January 20, 1959 in New Castle to Ray and Carolyn (Hall) Padgett.
Brad was a 1978 graduate of New Castle Chrysler High School. He had worked at various jobs through the years, but most recently, he was employed at Boar’s Head. He had a love for the outdoors and enjoyed working around his yard, flower gardening, hunting, fishing, horseback riding and go carting. Along with his love for the outdoors, he and Wendy, traveled to Alaska which he thoroughly enjoyed. Brad also was an avid fan of Dale Earnhardt and liked watching NASCAR. But more than anything, Brad loved spending time with his family and grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Wendy (Gibson) Padgett; daughters, Ashley (Jon) Renick and Haley Padgett; grandchildren, Laney Sue Maloyed and Crew Elise Renick; parents, Ray and Carolyn Padgett; brother, Steve (Robin) Padgett; aunt, Sandra (Larry) Clayborn; father in law and best friend, Woody Gibson; sisters in law, Debby (Charles) Vannoy, Kristy (Doug) Allen; brother in law, Woody Aron (Krista) Gibson; special friend he thought of as another brother, Derek Fowler and several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by a brother, Rodney Padgett; grandparents, Clifton & Barbara Padgett and Vertas & Lucille Hall; mother in law, Hazel Gibson and several aunts and uncles.
Services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Saturday, November 13, 2021 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service in New Castle. Visitation will be from 1:00 – 3:00 p.m. on Saturday also at the funeral home.
