New Castle

Caleb Dean Asberry, 35, of New Castle, passed away on September 6, 2026. He was born in New Castle, IN, on June 18, 1991, to Tonya Roy and the late Troy Asberry.

Caleb completed most of his education at Knightstown Schools. He went on to work as a CNC Machinist in a factory, applying the same intelligence and determination that showed in so many parts of his life. He was knowledgeable about cars and would try to fix anything, taking pride in figuring things out with his hands and mind.

Caleb was known for his big heart, his lively spirit, and the way he brought energy wherever he went. He was a good ‘ol country boy —friendly and quick to talk with anyone and everyone he met. He was funny, loved making people laugh, and had a way of lighting up any room he walked into. Passionate, strong, and resilient, Caleb lived, laughed, and loved hard. He was family first, a protector by nature, and someone who would help anyone. He was always doing for others and loved with everything he had.

He found joy in many things. Caleb loved animals, especially his dogs. He loved kids, and he shared a particularly special bond with his stepson, Keegan, always making up games and playing with him. He enjoyed going out and shooting his guns, and he loved hunting, fishing, and all things outdoors. He also loved playing his guitar and singing, enjoyed painting, and took pleasure in weedeating and tending his garden.

Those who knew Caleb will remember not only what he enjoyed, but the way he carried himself through life. He was stubborn at times, but that same determination was part of his strength. “Keep it Classy” and “Chin up and chest out” were some of his sayings that reflected both his humor and his grit. Caleb had finally overcome great struggles and had been reuniting with old friends and people he cared for. Above all, Caleb’s love for his family remained central in his life and Mamaw Dean was his best friend and he always made sure she was well taken care of.

Those left to cherish his memory include his mother, Tonya Roy; his siblings, Cody (Macey) Asberry, Bobbie Sue Asberry (fiancé Corbin LaCroix), and Jason Asberry; his grandmother, Joyce Roy; his girlfriend and very special stepson, Ashley Brown and Keegan Brown; and niece and nephews, Amelia Chanley, Royce Asberry, and Jackson LaCroix.

Caleb was preceded in death by his father, Troy Asberry; his paternal grandparents, Donald and Alma Asberry; and his maternal grandfather, James Roy.

According to the families’ wishes, there will be no public services. Cremation will take place at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service. You may express condolences or share a memory of Caleb at www.hinsey-brown.com.
