Charlene Johnson

Charlene Johnson, 66, a resident of New Castle passed away Friday, October 23, 2026 at her home. She was born August 9, 1960 in New Castle to the late Charles and Louise (Tackett) Johnson.

A 1978 graduate of Chrysler High School, Charlene worked at Walmart in New Castle for over twenty years. She enjoyed making jewelry, crafts and loved gnomes. Affectionately known as Momma, she always treated other children as her own. More than anything, Charlene loved spending time with her grandchildren.

Survivors include two children: Sheila Littleton of New Castle and E.J.(Tiffany) Littleton of Greensfork; seven grandchildren: Micah, Madyson, Jayden, Adeline, Graeme, Daniel and Paisley; three sisters: Kaye Markin of New Mexico, Carol Moore of Virginia and Peggy Brockman of New Castle; several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Charlene was preceded in death by an infant daughter: Paula Sue and a brother: Tommy Stinson.
