Charles H. Gulley, 75, of Knightstown passed away Sunday, August 31, 2014 at Riverview Hospital in Noblesville. He was born April 16, 1939 in Lewis County, Kentucky the son of Essie Vernon and Lonna Ethel (Pendland) Gulley.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Army where he was part of the Engineering Company. Charles retired from General Motors in Anderson in 1989 after 29 years of service. He was a member of the UAW, enjoyed photography, walking and spending time with his grandchildren.
He is survived by two sons: Steve (Lori) Gulley of Erie, MI and Scott (Rene) Gulley of Noblesville; six grandchildren; one great grandchild; three sisters: Betty Thurston and Mildred Kline of Carthage, Lula Mae Williams of Mansfield, OH; a brother: Raymond Gulley of Charlottesville; several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by five siblings.
Services will be at 11:00 AM Friday, September 5, 2014 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service Knightstown Chapel. Military rites will be conducted by the Knightstown American Legion Post #152. Burial will follow in Glen Cove Cemetery. Friends may call 4-8 PM Thursday at the funeral home.
