Cheryl Cassidy

Cheryl Cassidy, 77, of Knightstown passed away Sunday, August 24, 2025 at Community Hospital in Anderson. She was born June 28, 1948 in New Castle the daughter of Wilford and Manda (Mix) Roland.

Cheryl retired from Hancock Regional Hospital, her strong work ethic gained her much advancement from housekeeping all the way to the business office before retirement. After retirement she and her husband moved to Forsyth, Missouri where she loved hosting her family and taking them out boating and fishing. Family and faith were very important to Cheryl. She enjoyed leading women’s groups and she never met a stranger. She had a care giving heart and to her the grandchildren were everything. Cheryl had a smile that lit up the room and will be remembered for her love to dance no matter where she was at.

She leaves to cherish her memory her children, Ron (Rhonda) Mills of Pendleton, Rick (Brandy) Mills of Pendleton, and Melissa (Randy Polley) Peggs of Knightstown; grandchildren, Devin Silver, Dillon (Abby) Silver, Amanda (Jayden) Elkins, Drake (Maggie) Peggs, Jordan Mills, Jared (Nichole) Mills, Roland Mills, Ryland Mills, Korbyn Mills; great grandchildren, Jaxon and Mason Elkins, Rhett and Lainey Silver; siblings, Mark (Mary) Roland, Cindy (Paul) Loveall, Teresa Manning and Jeff Roland; along with several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John Ronald Cassidy; son, Robert Mills; brother, James Roland.

Services will be at 11:00 AM Thursday, August 28, 2025 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service, Knightstown Chapel with Pastor Ron Mills officiating. Burial will follow in Glen Cove Cemetery.
