Christina Marie Rutherford

Christina Marie Rutherford, 54, passed away Wednesday, December 24, 2025 in New Castle. She was born August 17, 1971 in New Castle.

Christina had been employed as a personal banker at Citizens State Bank for the past 5 years. She was formerly employed at Rich’s Tobacco store and at the Flying J Truck Stop, where she had worked for eleven years. Christina served on the board of the Wilbur Wright Birthplace. Christina was a huge football fan and especially loved rooting on the Indianapolis Colts. She also enjoyed attending races at Mt. Lawn Speedway and going to Post Malone concerts. Christina’s most cherished joy was spending time with her best buddy and grandson, Konnor.

Those left to cherish Christina’s memory include her children, Chelsey Orr (Matt Moore) and Collin Johnson, both of New Castle; grandson; Konnor Ocasio; mother, Shirley Ward of New Castle; siblings; Melissa Davis of New Castle, William “Bill” Davis of New Castle and Scott (Jacqueline) Jones of Florida; several step-siblings, nieces, nephews and cousins and her “sista” Patti Orr of New Castle.

She was preceded in death by her grandmother, Mildred Rutherford and fur babies, Harley, Missy and Coco.

Services will be held at 6:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 30, 2025 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service in New Castle with Pastors Brock and Rick Davis officiating. Visitation will be held from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. prior to the service. Memorial contributions may be made to Henry County Cancer Society through the Henry County Community Foundation.
