Christine Jane Robbins

Christine Jane Robbins, 72, of Knightstown, passed away at Glen Oaks Health Campus on Saturday, January 10, 2026. Although she was in failing health, death was unexpected. She was born on May 16, 1953, in Fortville, a daughter of the late Eugene and Mary Jane (Humbles) Lowder.

Christine loved flowers, especially orchids. She was President of CHD, Inc., a trucking company she and her husband owned from 1986-2012.

She leaves to cherish her memory, her husband of over 55 years, Harvey R. Robbins of Knightstown; four children, Kenny Reed Robbins of Mooresville, Chelsie White of New Castle, Courtney (Daniel) Allen of New Castle, and Curtis (Kiersten) Robbins of New Palestine; grandchildren, Logan and Riley Robbins, Rory Robbins, and Emmett Linville; a sister, Darlene Shannon of Anderson.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Karen White in 2024, and two brothers, Eugene and Dale Lowder.
